Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Eaton Police Division is to help save lives, protect property, and assist the citizens of the City of Eaton in their time of need. We are dedicated to the community we serve and will continually strive to provide the highest level of professional service to our citizens. We recognize the need for human compassion and will treat each individual with equality, respect, and dignity.
We respond to emergency and non-emergency situations with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy to provide the vital link between public safety officials and the citizens of the City of Eaton. We will strive to collect and disseminate all requests for service in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner for all our citizens.

Core Values
Central to this mission are core values that guide our chosen profession, our daily decisions, and our daily life.  We keep our values clearly visible to remind us of our ideals. These core values are the foundation for which our policies, goals, and practices are anchored.

Teamwork
- Each and every member of the Eaton Police Division is a valuable and important member of the team, recognizing that we are most effective when we combine our strengths.
Integrity - An Eaton Police Division employee shall never compromise himself or herself by dishonesty, lack of character or favortism.
Commitment to excellence - An Eaton Police Division employee shall strive to maintain the highest standards of effectiveness and efficiency.
Ethics - An Eaton Police Division employee challenges himself or herself both on duty and off duty with the following question, "Is what I'm doing legally and morally right?"

1,000+ Officer Activity Award

Congratulations to the 2011 EPD 1,000+ Officer Activity Award recipients!  Pictured from left to right are: Dale Haney, Clinnie Stevenson, Tom Smith and Craig Jones.  Each of these 4 officers had over 1,000 officer activity events in 2011.  Officer activity events include details like business checks, foot patrols, traffic stops, arrests, and vacation house checks.

These 4 officers were responisble for 57% of our total officer activity for 2011.
